4) Work Class

Reflecting in my writing performance;

I learned that it`s very important be careful with your vocabulary to keep a good conversation with someone, to explain your ideas and give the main idea of that conversation. It´s essential have a big vocabulary to don’t say always the same word, to do your speech more sophisticated.

To can do all of that I need practice a lot, to improve my oral communication, I love it in that class. The teacher Gina always try to do a conversation class, so I can hear my classmates and get vocabulary.

3) Contributions and Work Class

We learned about tag questions, another unusual form to write in English, but important to know and use sometimes. Most common we use that when we talk with someone, like with friends or family.
We use tags in spoken English but not in formal written English. They are not really questions but are a way of asking the other person to make a comment and so keep the conversation open. Making a tag is very mechanical. To make a tag, use the first auxiliary. If there is no auxiliary, use do, does or did. With a positive sentence, make a negative tag and with a negative sentence, make a positive tag.
I used that form to do my essays.
Examples of tag questions;
  • It's beautiful, isn't it?
  • He has been, hasn't he?
  • You can, can't you?
  • It must be, mustn't it?
  • You know him, don’t you?
  • He finished it, didn't he?
  • He will come, won't he?

2) Wok Class

In class we learned about indirect questions, a form to write or talk in English, I think that the indirect questions are unusual but important too. Its necessary know about that to have another form to express sentences. But that form are confuse because you need change the form of the questions and you sometimes don’t remember how complete correctly.

So to improve my English and learn very well that topic, I did my homework and extra class in home, one example of indirect questions is;

Direct: What time is it?

Indirect: do you know what time is it?

Video to explain the indirect questions.

1) Class Work

In this class I practiced a lot about mi grammar, with the activities that Gina realized and talking with my classmates I learned the passive voice structure and how do sentences in that form. We did in class one practice and get the information to do examples and learn about that specific topic. This is interesting because it’s another form of grammar, like more educated or professional.

Passive voice is used when the focus is on the action. It is not important or not known, however, who or what is performing the action.

Example: My bike was stolen.

In the example above, the focus is on the fact that my bike was stolen. I do not know, however, who did it.

Sometimes a statement in passive is more polite than active voice, as the following example shows:

Example: A mistake was made.

In this case, I focus on the fact that a mistake was made, but I do not blame anyone.

Out-of-class contributions; Fast Phrasals

Totally new for me, interesting and important too.
I thing that we need use a lot of words different to have a big vocabulary, in this image you can learn a different form to say something.
